 <title>Landowners Successful in TVA Cases</title>

 <description>&lt;p&gt;April 16, 2009 - Lassiter Tidwell recently represented landowners in Dickson and Montgomery Counties whose land had to be crossed by TVA&amp;#8217;s high voltage power lines.  Verdicts in four federal court cases that were decided in 2008 totaled $1.6 million, while another $1,733,109 has been awarded in eight cases so far this year.  Settlements have been reached in 6 additional cases to date, totaling $725,000.&lt;/p&gt;

 <title>Eminent Domain Victory on Music Row</title>

 <description>&lt;p&gt;&lt;i&gt;October 1, 2008&lt;/i&gt; - Eminent domain will not be used against Nashville music entrepreneur Joy Ford in a hotly contested battle about the abuse of government for a developer’s private gain.   &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;In an agreement signed Tuesday night, September 30, Ford, who has fought eminent domain since June of this year, keeps both her building and obtains more land adjacent to her building along Nashville’s storied Music Row while agreeing to give up land behind her office.  Lassiter Tidwell assisted in the representation of Ford.&lt;/p&gt;
