Many people in today’s corporate world do not understand that their insurance benefits, including health and disability, are subject to the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (“ERISA”).  ERISA imposes very strict requirements for the handling of claims, and these requirements often serve to prevent individuals from obtaining benefits that are rightly theirs.
